"There is more than shame on you, by refusing to condem the animals who did this "

i actually condemned them , by condemning the actions. I said honor killings are wrong and attacking is wrong . I just dont associate them with my religion just because they were muslims. If i holdf you to what catholicism done. you probablay wouldnt ever raise your head from shame

“you have become one of them.”

Thats oputright insult and degradation that shows yr true nature . You really showed what you are made of . However i wont stoop to this level of yours. I am taught better by my faith that there is teh good and bad in every one. Dont know about yours .

" I wish nothing more to do with you and pray that the people of Islam see Mohamad for the false profit he was and convert to the true religion of God, Catholocism."

I wont pray for false or true prophets . I will just pray for thsi lord of the universe to shwo us all the correct path to him .

If it werent that i know that there are better people than you hgere than you dont represent i wouldnt have stayed here but you wont manage to intimidate me from many people who are better than you .

Fascinating. He thinks we’re dying.

Sir christianity is dying in Europe i dont think this is because of muslims too…
Just exacerbated by it.

The Black Knight: The Christians in question ARE Palestinians. What good would pushing them out be? They are suffering from both sides, Jewish and Muslim, in this equation. Palestinians are among the most Christian people in the Middle East, aside from Armenians and the Lebanese.

What some observers are calling a pogrom took place near Ramallah, West Bank, on the night of September 3-4. That’s when 15 Muslim youths from one village, Dair Jarir, rampaged against Taybeh, a neighboring all-Christian village of 1,500 people.

The reason for the assault? A Muslim woman from Dair Jarir, Hiyam Ajaj, 23, fell in love with her Christian boss, Mehdi Khouriyye, owner of a tailor shop in Taybeh. The couple maintained a clandestine two-year affair and she became pregnant in about March 2005. When her family members learned of her condition, they murdered her. That was on about September 1; unsatisfied even with this “honor killing” – for Islamic law strictly forbids non-Muslim males to have sexual relations with Muslim females – the Ajaj men sought vengeance against Khouriyye and his family.

They took it two days later in an assault on Taybeh. The Ajajs and their friends broke into houses and stole furniture, jewelry, and electrical appliances. They threw Molotov cocktails at some buildings and poured kerosene on others, then torched them. The damage included at least 16 houses, some stores, a farm, and a gas station. The assailants vandalized cars, looted extensively, and destroyed a statue of the Virgin Mary.
Code:
This assault fits a larger pattern. According to the Catholic Custodian of the Holy Land, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Christians in the Bethlehem region alone have suffered 93 cases of injustice in 2000-04. In the worst of these, in 2002, Muslims murdered the two Amre sisters, 17 and 19 years old, whom they called prostitutes. A post-mortem, however, showed the teenagers to have been virgins – and to have been tortured on their genitals.

Salaam Bother Lance;
This is sad news indeed and any act of injustice should be condemned vigorously.

As regard to the events as reported, the use of the term pogrom is totally misleading and I think was used on purpose.

Brother Lance, the title you gave your post is misleading as well. I am having a hard time trying to establish a relationship between the events as reported and the title you gave your post.

Christianity dying? Yes it is dying, but not because of this incident and not because of Islam or Muslims. Christianity started dying the day you accepted Darwinism and a theory as destructive as the theory of the Evolution to be taught to your children. Those two theories killed Christianity and are still killing it. Hopefully, sincere Christians will rise to the occasion and try as hard as they can to counter those deadly faith and moral destroying theories.

Salaam.
Joseph.

I mean no mistake when i say that there were times muslim nation was far superior than christian nations and could have easily wiped christians in the middle east but didnt .

any reason for that ?
Cheap labour and the jizya tax.

These are not allegations.

Nor well i take responsibility to some action of others or claim to be condemning it in the name of my religion
But how do you know which of you is following Mohammed’s version of Islam? That’s the problem with not having a divine, central teaching authority.

meedo:
There is no shame on me and there is no shame on Islam
And yet you seem to think that there’s some shame in the Crusades.

My mistake, I thought I included the following excerpt from Mr. Pipes in my original post.

“Almost every day – I repeat, almost every day – our communities are harassed by the Islamic extremists in these regions,” Mr. Pizzaballa says. “And if it’s not the members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad, there are clashes with … the Palestinian Authority.” In addition to the Islamists, a “Muslim land mafia” is said to operate. With PA complicity, it threatens Christian land and house owners, often succeeding to compel them to abandon their properties.

The campaign of persecution has succeeded. Even as the Christian population of Israel grows, that of the Palestinian Authority shrinks precipitously. Bethlehem and Nazareth, historic Christian towns for nearly two millennia, are now primarily Muslim. In 1922, Christians outnumbered Muslims in Jerusalem; today, Christians amount to a mere 2% of that city’s population.

“Is Christian life liable to be reduced to empty church buildings and a congregation-less hierarchy with no flock in the birthplace of Christianity?” So asks Daphne Tsimhoni in the Middle East Quarterly. It is hard to see what will prevent that ghost-like future from coming into existence.

This should clear up any misunderstanding about the name of this thread.

Salaam Brother Lance;
Alhamduli’llah, I learnt that nobody was hurt in the attack.

Have you heard of a man named Raed Abu Sahliyeh? He is Taybeh’s Latin Parish Priest. Taybeh is the Christian village the article you submitted talked about.

M. Read Abu Sahliyeh have been interviewed by Palestine Report, here is an extract of the interview.
**
Palestine Report**: You are not afraid, then, that there will be any lasting damage to Muslim-Christian relations?

Abu Sahliyeh: No. Of course we have to work on it. This is the work and efforts of wise people, the schools and education for co-existence.

What we managed in this short time is already a good achievement because it prevented more escalation, and I thank God that no blood was spilt otherwise the problem would have been worse and more complicated.
**
I reject the newspapers and the people who spoke about an attack by Muslims against Christians**. I will repeat this a million times: We are Arabs, we are Palestinians and we are Christian since 2,000 years. This is a small biblical village. We have lived in peace with surrounding Muslim villages for 14 centuries.

This mistake between two people should not poison the relations between Muslims and Christians. Those who are playing this dirty game should calm down. We are wise and we say that we have no choice but to live together, side by side, and with friendly relations.

The complete interview HERE

Is the so-called clash of civilisations inevitable? Some are working very hard to make it happen, the process is already in motion. Will they succeed? I hope no.
Salaam.
Joseph.

Whatever you say, I’m afraid I haven’t been given much reason to have confidence that Muslims and Christians can “live together, side-by-side with friendly relations”.

The world over, we hear word of Muslims apparently keeping slaves, making Mein Kampf a best-seller, forcing out Christian relief groups, inciting violence against non-Muslims, allying with Neo-Nazis, demanding sharia law, planning to use democratic process (and higher birth-rates) to bring the U.S. under Islamic law, and being responsible for an uncomfortable number of rape cases, to bring up just a very few examples.

There has been sensationalizing, ridgid ideology and denial aplenty on all sides.

True enough, but can you present evidence to disprove what I’ve linked?

I am not interested in any exercise of “disproving” the assertions made. I consider it a pointless exercise, like flagellating a dead horse. Ultimately what does it matter who has “proven” what? Are we to be spending our time proving our own positions? Doesn’t the chronic holding forth of one’s own point of view exclude one’s openness to being at least a little mistaken about some things? Only God is omniscient.

Christians are being driven out by Muslim violence .They only find refuge and freedom is in" Jewish" Israel. Thats why Jerusalem must never be palestinian !
The life of christians in Islamic countries is not one you’d like.

In other words, you disagree with me vehemently, but you have no arguments of your own to make so you shall instead snipe at the idea of debate in the first place to try and validate your position.

None of the Islamic posters here have refuted my original post or appologized for what happened. Strange, since we are all told how peaceful Islam is.

and non will ever will as long as you associate them with Islam . There are tens of Mosques burnt down to the ground in the states and we dont associate that with christianity . But its a lost cause trying to make you see.

If you can’t and don’t show me proof of 10’s of mosques being burnt to the ground in the US then I will assume you made it up and in Christianity that is lying.

Michigan Mosque Vandalized

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MICHIGAN MOSQUE VANDALIZED
CAIR asks FBI to probe similar incidents nationwide

(LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI, 9/15/05) – The Michigan office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today called on local law enforcement authorities to step up patrols at a Dearborn Heights mosque vandalized early Wednesday. CAIR is also urging the FBI to investigate a recent series of similar attacks on Islamic institutions nationwide.

Later today, CAIR’s Florida office is scheduled to take part in a news conference condemning vandalism at a Boca Raton Islamic center. Other acts of vandalism have been reported at mosques in Texas, Nebraska, California, and New York.

In the Michigan incident, representatives of the Islamic House of Wisdom (www.islamichouseofwisdom.com) tell CAIR-MI that an intruder broke into the mosque sometime early on September 14. The alleged perpetrator broke windows and threw paint on walls. Security alarms alerted the Dearborn Heights Police Department and a suspect was arrested. The incident has not been labeled a hate crime.

“Given the rash of similar incidents across America, we urge police and the FBI to investigate possible bias motives in this case and call on local authorities to step up patrols in the area,” said CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid.

here is a few. There ahs been many in the past.

meedo,
Since you can’t back up your statement about mosques being burnt to the ground, the examples you gave are about vandalism, I think you are lying and therfore I have no reason to belive anything you post. By the way, lots of churches are vandalized and it never makes the national news.
