I go to a backwoods school. Most are Christians, even though I’d not call them that, cause they believen the trinity, but do not really try to follow the commandments, or anything, but anyways.

Pagans, and Wiccans are rather abundant now. I got close to asking a wiccan out, but never did.

Just wondering, are we supposed to stay away from them? I remember a quote ‘yolk’ something about mixing christians with non-christians and it can turn you into the other.

LOL, get used to it; you’ll be dealing with this for the rest of your life!

Dude, this is infantile nonsense. Anybody who follows this stuff has a lot of growing-up to do; not too far removed from believing in Santa. They watched too much TV; they want to dress-up, play witch and cast spells. It’s DUMB!

The fact that you’re asking this question indicates that you already suspect something’s wrong - and your intuition is correct. Don’t be rude to them, but I wouldn’t spend a lot of time hanging with them either.

My daughter is Wiccan (I constantly pray for her soul). She is very sweet and kind as per her “religion” has as its Main creed that you can do what ever as long as it brings no “harm” to others.

Most, but not all, don’t even believe that Satan exists They can believe in One or many gods AND goddesses:eek: . The main thing about them though is that they believe (least my daughter does) that God is IN trees and all of nature, instead of looking at nature as a Christian does, as a wonderful example of God’s creation, they “worship” the dang tree.

The Wiccan “faith” is very female oriented as well, though there are men who practice the craft. They believe in a female trinity, and that humans were the result of their goddess having an orgasim.

When it comes to witchs though, not all would consider themselves this, in fact, according to their rules, don’t even allow “Black Magic” spells to be cast.

Google them, but pray to the Holy Spirit FIRST for protection, once you start reading up on them, you will understand why.

Being casual friends with them is no big deal, dating them on the other hand can be Extremely dangerous to your soul.

To Knight,
This will be something that you deal with forever. There will always be those who are not Christian, Christians in name only, and true Christians in the world. I cannot tell you that it is ok to date one, or not to date one. That depends on a lot of things that I do not know at this time. For example, how strong are you in your faith? Why are they the faith that they are? How strong are they in their faith? Just remember that you may be the only example of Christ in their lives, so you have the added responsibility of living a visibly Christian life.

Now, as far a Wiccans go, I have some knowledge of them. Birmingham, Alabama, has one of the largest covens in America. They range from the immature to the misguided to the jaded to the evil. One of the abortion mills here is owned by one. Another of them is a professor of Women’s studies at my alma Mater. She teaches that any sexual contact between a man and a woman is RAPE! Anyway, we should pray for them. A good number of them want a woman deity or feel that women are mistreated in Christianity. As posted earlier, some are just immature and think it is cool.

About 15 years ago, I ran across some live role-player folks. A few of them actually thought they were vampires. Needless to say, they were very strange and un-nerving. Now, I knew that I had God on my side, but trust me, my 357 was great comfort as well. Like the witches, most of these people are broken in some way and are looking for healing. It is our job to help them find peace in Christ.

a good resource for you are two little books called Rock it’s a Catholic thing, and their book on the Rosary. the first is an apologetics guide written by Catholic teens in your state, for teens, and the rosary companion they also wrote, very good solid answers to common questions about the Catholic faith. will post link when I get to work. I think it is contemplation corner.
