Often we can be attracted to the mystical side of the occult. Not because we distrust God or don’t love him or want to be with him, but because we want to find him. We are curious about the supernatural and attempt to discover and dialogue with God through tarot, spirit guides, mediums etc.

You are not evil and you know your intentions aren’t, so you think what can be the harm of approaching God through these occult devices?

The harm is the Liar, the devil, who uses things to confuse us and separate us from God, which is why we are told not to engage in these things.

If you turn to the lives of the Saint, you will be richly rewarded with mystical truths and the supernatural. You will see how when you choose God and union with him (union being love) he will fulfil your every desire to know him and invite you to participate in his mystical and unfathomable depths.

You need no tool but your heart, and the will to love God first in this life. You will see then how the occult was only a shadow of a truth, you will bathe completely in the ocean that is God and no part of your soul will thirst.

For you are thirsty!

Believe, you will be quenched completely.

There will be no need of the occult, you will weep that you ever wasted your time trying to commune with God via any other thing, for you will want only to be soul to soul with him, with nothing in-between.

Dare to let go and fall into God’s hands, it is a terrifying thing, after all to fall into one such as him.

I’ve been struggling with this for years. I was once heavily into the occult and I still am despite calling myself a Christian. I’ve tried everything from praying the rosary to the Jesus prayer going to church reading the Bible everyday and nothing seems to pull me away from the grip of the occult. I’m scared and I don’t know what to do! Please help. God bless.

Have you spoken to a good priest?

try to remember the occult is the ENEMY’S way to destroy your soul. It comes from his hatred of you. Anything alluring in it is only to draw you in because the enemy is jealous of us human beings and hates God who took on our humanity. He is jealous because we still have a chance to know God.

However, God loves you and died for you. Your soul was made to know Him. This is why He made you and gave you an intellect and a will, to give you the happiness of knowing Him deeply.

Throw away everything to do with the occult… if this is too difficult, maybe the priest could help with that, and to give you ways to stay with God and the Church. God bless you

Pray. Even when you don’t feel like praying, PRAY! Especially the Rosary

Do you have Holy Water? If not, get some. Bless yourself with it often. From St. Teresa of Avila:

And please make it a priority to speak with a priest. You will need a spiritual advisor to help you through this.

He loves you so much!!! The devil does not, and he would rather see you in Hell which is endless suffering. Do you hear me? You will bleed and panic and burn in the heat and cold, to unbearable levels.

Even more than that, remember: the primary pain in Hell is the loss of God. All the good that one seeks, even if through disordered means, is a search for good and happiness. God is the ultimate source of that, for He is Love itself. To lose that would be to lose everything.

I know why the occult can seem attractive. I’ve been through that and still find myself wondering about this or that. But think of yourself, and loved ones and friends and everyone else. The occult is ultimately selfish. Christianity is not.

Do you know what i’d give to have faith in God that you have? the fact that he exists?

You have the opportunity to learn and strengthen yourself from this experience, the devil wants you to think it’s too late, in reality you’re so close to God if only you just trust in him,

You have thousands of great people on here willing to help and guide you. do not be afraid, you have so much going for you, even if you don’t see it yourself.

Knowing this, be confident and in time, you will be happier and have a great unity with the Lord I’m sure.
