JL: There is a big difference between one who teaches to promulgate by the sword and one who teaches to conqueor through love.

For the first three hundred years Christianity was outlawed and underground, yet thrived speading everwhere conquering hearts. Even though they were persecuted, here and there during those three hundred years. They never toke up the sword, even to defend themselves, which they had the right to do. Conqueing hearts is what Christ is about not forced subjugation. What some Christain Princes did, after Christ conqueored the Roman Empire through love, is another thing all together. On the contrary Islam spread **only after **wars and subjugation, using as an example, in words and deeds, its founder Mohamad.

No, its not political. If Islam is peaceful then why do Sunni’s and Shiites continually kill each other? Its not politics, its religion, and the fact that Islam is incapable of being peaceful.

Muhammad never himself used sword to spread Islam and he never instructed any body to use it to convert others to Islam.

What some Muslim Princes, Rulers and Monarchs did is another thing; they were perhaps politically motivated; they never had any instructions to do it for conversion to Islam by Quran/Islam/Muhammad.

If anybody thinks otherwise; kindly quote from Quran; just a single verse with the context connected adjacent verses to prove his point.

For the most part, the times that Christianity was spread by force, it was done so on order of a governement as a means to establish a level of control. For example, Native Americans were forced to convert to help destroy their ties to the old ways and integrate into American society. The individual faiths involved were generally not the driving forces in the matter.

Islam is both government and faith. It is a matter of subjugation. It is part of the deal.
