If you look at the christian - muslim prophecies about the comming of the Messiah in the last days, christians says that first will show up the antichrist to trick the world and Jesus will come after that, but muslims says nothing about antichrist; does this mean that they will believe the antichrist ?

As I recall Muslims believe Christ will return, destroy all pigs and proclaim Islam and might even get married. We can probably expect the islamic Christ to not have mercy against those who worshipped him.

Most expect that nearly everyone will be initially seduced by the Antichrist’s overtures. It may be that Christians are the first to begin to see who he really is and refuse to cooperate with him. Then would come persecution against an apparently obstinate Church. I think this persecution, however, will be of such a kind that the other nations -and especially those of Abrahamic faith and origin- are moved to reconsider. If the whole sordid affair is carried out with as much treachery, conspiracy, rank injustice and dishonour as Christ’s own crucifixion was, then it may be the very attempt to wipe out the Church that might just be exactly what causes the Antichrist to begin to lose his grip over humanity. In other words, I think it will be in the sign of a crucifed Church that many finally recognize Who it is they have pierced, and Who it is they have been persecuting.

Most people have a certain base sense of honour and justice that -even if it is set aside to indulge in hatred- afterwards reappears leaving a bitter taste in the mouth. Many soldiers have fought for their countries with the best -albeit sometimes misguided- intentions and later had respect for those whom they, by dishonourable craft or stratagem, destroyed. The Church’s final persecutors may sincerely believe they are doing the right thing; however, it would seem to be that very sincerity which sets them aside for grace and conversion.

Even in the Crusades many Muslim warriors began to increasingly respect their Christian opponents for their bravery on the battlefield and their faith. There’s no reason to think that Muslims will not be even more moved by the witness of so many martyrs.

So in short, no. It does not follow and certainly not universally. We don’t know what surprises Providence has in store.

Peace,
August.
