Asking:
what genocide in mesoamerica?I am latin american by the way.
Our Lady of Guadeloupe took alot of people away from that mess, see the thread that Tlaloc started on rational abortion support, it looks like his name might reveal his mission in that thread:banghead: Our Lady of Guadeloupe pray for us:gopray: To the Latin American there seems to be an underlying agenda with Tlaloc.God Bless

Back to the issue…does anyone know of Catholic source(s) where I could purchase something similar to what CA publishes about Salvation, but in reference to Biblical scriptures, instead of only mainly early church father quotes, in bulk? Maybe CA has something but I am missing it on the web site search.

You are right Annie. And I am honing up on my scriptural references that defend my belief. Right now, the best I can think of is something in the Bible says this and something says that…but I can’t remember the exact versus. I recently acquired Patrick Madrid’s “Where is that in the Bible,” to help me out.

Part of me feels like spenign the weekend hanging out by the manger scenes at the Baptis Churches and ask if they are falsely worshipping statues, as I have heard so many times before!!!

Tlaloc:
I’m sorry Cestus, you burned any communication bridges with me when you started excusing Genocide. I have no interest in discussing anything with a person like that.
**You’ve burnt quite a bit more bridges than Cestus, because of your foolish pride and your arrogance. ******

**I doubt anyone wants to discuss anything with someone like you. ******

**People like you are ones who initiate genocide, atheist. ******

**Do you honestly think that anyone who initiates genocide is a god-fearing, bible-thumping, Jesus freak?? ******

**No, they are Godless men, sometimes under the guise of religious motives “Gee, Judge, God told me to do it”], who care not for the well-being of their fellow Man, nor feel any moral obligation to a “God”. ******

**They [those who would initiate genocide] do recognize the value of religion and how using that aspect of humanity could swell the loyalty of the easily misguided. ******

Even saddam hussein knelt down and prayed to Allah for show, that doesn’t make him a true Muslim.****

**It makes him an atheist in a M.O.G’s [Man of God] clothing. ******

You have arrived at a place, where different, but respectful, opinions are welcome, and sorely abused your privileges of conversation, through disrespect of your fellow Man.****

**Once again I forgive you, and no, I won’t ignore you, instead I will help you identify when you are being disrespectful and close-minded to your own flaws. ******

**Peace of the Lord be with you! 😉 ******

The above was a post by **Tlaloc directed at cestudie. **
Tlaloc you know when your beat when you break off the conversation. Can’t you hang in there?

**Tlaloc, **your profile does not list a religion. I found out what your screen name is and what it means.

Tlaloc is the name of a demon, an Aztec demon. Babies were sacrificed to this demon to make it rain.

Aztec Mythology : TLALOC

Also known as NUHUALPILLI, TLËLOC

TLALOC: Fertility God. Not nice. His favourite incense is the fuming stench of burning rubber.

His priests killed and ate babies to promote rain, which only appeared if the babies cried before death. What was necessary to make it stop raining we won’t even try to imagine.

TLALOC is depicted in a mask with goggling frog eyes and outrageous buck teeth. He’s married to CHALCHIUHTLICUE, who obviously likes that kind of thing.

So Mr. TLALOC this is your veneer. I think you are not healthy.

Exporter;

Thanks for the Reveal. Well done on the Research and the truly horrifying LINKS!

I can only surmise that our correspondent might wish a return to the “Old Time Religion”, or to a time when the Aztec Empire was “IT”!

It’s almost enough to make me give up CHOCOLATE and MEXICAN FOOD! LOL

Good Job. Well Done.

In Him, MIchael

Tells me that I’m going to have to get a certain person to write a book or at least a few pamphlets, and it ain’t me! LOL

Let me get to work on this and see if I can get this guy to come join us, and better yet, to start writing…

The only means anyone here is attempting to further is that of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which exists in it’s fullness in the Catholic Church. Mr. Jackson believes he is right about the Catholic Church and he goes to a lot of time and trouble to publically share that belief with others. Catholics believe he is wrong. Don’t we have the right to publically disagree with him and correct what we perceive are his errors, or is this a one way street where Catholics should just shut up and let what they see to be error propagate? I think not.
may god save your souls
Thank you. And may He save yours as well. 🙂

your right u do have the right to publically disagree with his beliefs but you dont have the right to insult a man (not that u your are TAng but look at the first load of comments is all about exspressing anger that which cant be rationalized shouldn’t be spoke) who is nearing or at least 80 Y.O.

You are correct about how important it is to avoid* personally *attacking anyone. I especially dislike the label “liar.” It is far better to say the man is *wrong *or mistaken or in error in his beliefs about Catholics (which is my opinion of his talks and his writings) than to call him names. One should always start out by assuming good motives for those with which we disagree, until they prove otherwise. We would hope the same for ourselves.

Some people are not worth debating.

Just pray for them!:gopray:
Some people indeed aren’t worth debating, but if they have some sort of forum or way for the truth to be posted to their website it might be worth getting it on there. If not, then just pray.

I have to agree with Mickey. HOWEVER; this man is a good person to learn from. I recommend to study the “anti-Catholic” material so you know what they are saying about us and look up the truth in the CCC or other Catholic materials. Basically, so you know the answers before the attacks come.

BTW, I’m a former Catholic Basher protestant.
Hi, I’m curious: what did it take for you to become Catholic? What did the Lord do? How did He change your heart?

Whoa! There is a man out there with what seems to be a full time mission “evangelizing” Catholics. .
The first error is in the title of this thread. With this kind of language it’s no wonder that Christians try to evangelize Catholics. Christians are called to evangelize everyone who is not Christian.

Catholics are Christian, in fact, we are the original Christian Church founded by Jesus Christ.

We’ve got to wake up and stop playing into the hands of evangelicals and other Protestants with our inadvertent language. Be aware of the damage that this kind of language causes.

Maturity involves transitioning form childhood (where self is first and others are second) to Catholic adulthood (where we lay down our lives for our spouses, kids, work, i.e. OTHERS come first, and self comes second). Some Catholic moms (and moms in general) think they’re helping their kids by giving them a soft, comfortable life with maximum entertainment and minimal pain. Naturally, no child wants to grow up and volunteer to be second after being first for so long. Society is no longer struggling for survival, as it was in the farm society we used to have pre-50 years ago, so there aren’t ehough chores to force kids to work hard and sacrifice for others in a standard home situation. This is where good parenthood is so vital. It’s our job to raise adults, not kids. Kids need to be given duties and responsibilities to train them to struggle, succeed, and sacrifice for others, as well as have fun with us so they’ll be less likely to rebel. Other churches have borrowed a pop culture media seduction to get kids interested, where ours is more rooted in a tradition of deep solemnity of prayer, which is in stark contrast to all the flashing lights and the minimal attention span that media provides for them until their next expected immediate stimulation. We expect them to follow our deep tradition, but there’s not enough patience for them to get deep when pop culture media has conditioned them to adopt flashing lights and the immediate gratification of visual stimulation. Them asking the “why” questions poses a problem for older Catholics because we didn’t doubt our Catholicism and didn’t challenge it. I’ve found that the answers to all the “WHYS” can be found in Leo Trese’s “The Faith Explained.” It should be required reading for ALL Catholics, in my opinion. We will continue to lose more members and kids than necessary if we cannot answer the whys. We will continue to struggle to raise kids in our Faith, to be unselfish givers, as long as they are exposed to shallow pop culture media that promotes lust and self to be more important than true, romantic, deep, sacrificial love. Bring back the romance!

Is he worth debating? Or is it a lost cause?
Not worth debating. I had some polite exchanges with him by mail about 20 years ago. He actually makes up stuff. When I called him on that (politely) he stopped writing.

He may not be a “lost cause” from God’s point of view, but trying to change his mind is certainly pearls before swine & a waste of time.

Very well put, Ignatius. I found that title rather disturbing too. Although, I’m certain we all understand where the poster was trying to go with that, to word it as such shows unbelievable ignorance in her own condition.

That being said, LisaH, I agree with you. It’s very hard for me to hear such awful things said about the bride of our Lord. I get very “down” when I read insults such as “Whore Of Babylon” and “The Anti-Christ” referring to the Church or to those associated with it. But, then I get re-energized to spread the truth when that type of opportunity knocks.

Peace

The first error is in the title of this thread.
The name of the organization the OP is referring to is “Christians Evangelizing Catholics.” Jackson, the founder, is one of many who do not think Catholics are Christians.

Acts9:29- Paul spoke and debated with the Hellenists
I think, in the search for Truth, discussing these things with non-catholics can be very beneficial
1Peter3:15-16- Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame.
We are called to evangelize to the best of our abilities.

God bless you all and you families!

Just wanted to throw this out there, as the Protestant father of a soon-to-be Catholic daughter. As I’ve read through this forum, and discussed things with members of my own church, I’ve noted a few commonalities between the two:

  1. *]Pride runs rampant
    *]Arrogance is very easy
*]Love and faith are hard to miss when you see them
*]By our fruit we are known.

I can honestly say that, although I’ll probably never become Catholic, neither can I make the insane assumption that all Catholics are damned - no more than I can make that statement about members of my own Church. I’m not fool enough to believe all of either group is heaven-bound either. I see what appear to me to be many “excesses” in Catholic doctrine and practice, with corresponding “insufficiencies” among Protestants. Protestants for instance have a far weaker grasp of the reality of the spiritual world, a completely inadequate knowledge of historic church tradition, and a far lesser sense of reverence. I hope that I am able to influence my fellow church-members to correct these issues.

The point of all this rambling is that we are called to unity - and if I call myself Christian, and you call yourself Christian, then we’d better learn to understand each other. Don’t try to “convert” me (not even sure what that means in this context), I won’t try to convert you - but there’s much we can learn from each other, maybe even (gasp) how to work and worship together!

Blessings upon all whom I can recognize as my brothers by the love they have for me!

Oh my goodness! I think we read the same Bible! “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:5-6)

Ah! I see a sense of humor is found on both sides of the divide as well! LOL! Yes, I believe we DO read the same Bible - though I have not yet read the books that are disputed. Have to do that sometime soon!

One of the reasons I’m as comfortable with my daughter becoming Catholic as I am is the result of meeting and interacting with her sponsor. I have had the (unfortunately RARE) experience of meeting people in whom you could readily and unmistakably see the image of Christ. This lady is one of them. Doctrinal difference or no, I have NO doubt as to the relationship that lady has with her redeemer! Known by the love…

Thanks for your comment!
