I think professional is self-explanatory.

It would be misleading to take something that Joe-Blow Catholic said once upon a time in a post or on his personal blog and assume it represents a common defence of the faith. I would never take my Protestant neighbor’s duct-tape explanation of his theology as a sample of how professional, or learned, Protestant apologists present their arguments. I have enough respect for my Protestant brothers to actually debate only the common or substantial arguments against my theology.
