Hello Samuel… When man begins to interpret the Trinity by man’s thoughts and man’s invented ways and not how God has revealed Himself to our humanity, you can bet it is wrong.

Gabriel, I’m not making this up. It is clear that God has manifested himself through several historic messengers. The diversity of world religions may be rooted in the diversity of the divine life itself. Thus, a deeper understanding of the Trinity might include a synthesis of all that God has revealed of himself, as contained in the wisdom of all the world’s major religions.

If you read the Preview on my website at www.religiouspluralism.ca, you will see that I am merely expanding on what is already inherent (but sometimes obscured or hidden) in the orthodox concept of the Trinity. Despite apparent differences, the underlying similarities among religions suggest the possibility that they may all be merely different facets of the same multi-dimensional reality. It is only common sense that the Trinity would reveal itself in three basic religious attitudes to the Absolute. Indeed, when we examine world religions, we see in the personalities they portray and the language they use, a reflection of one or other (or some combination) of the three divine psychological persona.

In a constructive worldview: east, west, and far-east religions present a threefold understanding of One God manifest primarily in Muslim and Hebrew intuition of the Deity Absolute, Christian and Krishnan Hindu conception of the Universal Absolute Supreme Being; and Shaivite Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist apprehension of the Destroyer (meaning also Consummator), Unconditioned Absolute, or Spirit of All That Is and is not. Together with their variations and combinations in other major religions, these religious ideas reflect and express our collective understanding of God, in an expanded concept of the Holy Trinity.

I understand your point. All religions of the world teach some aspect of Truth, including the ancient religions such as Greek mythology. These seers or great philosophers sought truth within the limited confines of their experiences and knowledge. Some even went as far as naming objects of creation as deities. Their thirst is never quenched however.

Many of these man made founders of religions of the world, never claimed to be God although some claimed to possessing the power of a deity, never the less no one claimed to reveal who the creator is, followed and confirmed by signs and wonders.

The only man to confirm this was Jesus Christ the Word Incarnate.

Here ecumenical standards do not apply in regards to the revelations of God. But reconciling what these religions of the world reveal as Truth tested and proven, to what God revealed in the only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

To invite an ecumenical dialogue with the world religions, would mean for them not to reconcile their revealed Truth’s, but for them to hold to all what they believe to be true, and not what God revealed to be Truth personified.

Reconciliation would invite the world religions for all to hold up to the scrutiny and measure their revealed Truths to Truth Himself. Upon such a reconciliation dialogue, what remains standing would prove to be a revelation of God.

To a federation of religions united denies what God has revealed in His Son.
