My parish is doing a Christmas angel tree this year and I picked up one for a 7 year old boy. Im used to doing the ones in the mall as they generaly have sugestions on what the child might want. However this one doesn’t have that. It just says to get an age appropriate toy.

To all you parents and siblings out there, do you have any sugestions? I’m not sure what little kids like these days. I was thinking maybe a remote controlled car of some sort. Keep in mind the limit we have to spend is 30 dollars.

Thank you.

sorry for any spelling mistakes. Theres no spellcheck using my phone

A remote-controlled car is fine.

LEGO has cute themed kits that are popular with that age range.

Anything Star Wars is also popular with 7-year-olds. LEGO Star Wars is even better.

Those are the safest options that I can suggest without more information.

Since you don’t know if he’s an only child, board games might not be wise. Also, if he’s very poor, anything with batteries should be avoided.
I always like to give anything that you make things out of…building toys. Hours of solitary fun, and builds creativity. Or anything else creative…matchbox cars and tracks are popular with boys of all ages. And trade-able at school…art supplies…
But on the other hand, timeless games, checkers, backgammon, a full set of dominoes is something the whole family can play with.
Stores like Marshalls, Ross, Tuesday Morning have good deals on toys that are really high everywhere else.
Just a few ideas…have fun shopping and God Bless your generosity!
