Christmas Cards to non-Christians

I’m Catholic and my husband is not Christian. We received many cards, religious and not. I think it all depends from the intention of people sending it and on our relationship with them. I give you an example, if my relatives are sending for both of us a religious card with a nice nativity scene (maybe from a famous painter) it doesn’t bother my husband at all and we know their intention is genuine. 🙂 Then there are other cards, like the one of an acquaintance, that seldom interacts with us, but that at Christmas gets in “conversion mood” and sends us a card with only a gigantic MERRY CHRISTMAS, a very serious bible citation and the picture of his family. In this case it’s hard not to think of it as a provocation and something not very respectful. We would have appreciated it more if they would have shown the same zeal and care for our souls while building a friendly relationship with us during the past year. 🤷
