thank you for this novena, lovely, just went to my 2nd Posada last night, the Mexican tradition in celebrating the Novena. The youth and children of the extended family–about 14 kids–led the procession, the leading the rosary, Mary and Joseph, and peregrinos carrying candles, adults in the rear. What tickled me is the way the kids took charge, led the prayers, led the songs, they all knew them by heart (adults and song sheets to help). Now whether they were doing it to earn a right to swing at the pinata I can’t say, but they were equally as enthusiastic in both the prayer part and the song part. We ended at the home that was the “inn” with a proclamation of Luke’s gospel of the annunciation (there is a different gospel each night, following the story) and a meditation from one of the teens. glad to see this tradition is alive and well.

Our Jr Hi retreat was based on the O Antiphons and they finished by making a banner which was hung in church last weekend as a gift to the parish.
That sound really beautiful. I would love to experience Posada sometime but in Japan it is rather unlikely. Someday, maybe.

**Day 9 - December 24:
**O Thou that sittest upon the cherubim, God of hosts, come, show Thy face, and we shall be saved.

Say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory be.
