What do you want for Christmas?

If someone really twisted your arm and made you make a list, what would you want and why? These posts might help us get gift ideas for some of the people in our lives we are having trouble shopping for.

-A replacement pair of Converse, as the pair I have has exploded and eats clumps of grass when I go outside.

-A replacement extendy arm pincher claw. I got one of these when I was recovering a few csections ago, so I wouldn’t have to bend over. Turns out its great for reaching things that get stuck on the ceiling, things that fall behind furniture and kids in the far back seat of the van. Recently someone took my beloved picher claw, put it between two chairs and tried to wali across it like a tightrope. It didn’t survive the stunt.

-Chalk pens for my menu chalkboard. It just sounds more fun than the regular chalk I’m using.

Something like this. I think it would be nice to have all the birthdays, anniversaries and baptismal dates all visually in one place. I ended up getting something like this for my mom.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

I can think of quite few religious things I’d like, a vision of my guardian angel would be a wonderful present, however …

I saw at our church Christmas bazaar an emergency hammer thing for the car. It helps you to smash your windscreen and cut your seat belt and it was in a raffle which I didn’t win. That’s for emergencies by the way, not for fun. So that’s something I would enjoy receiving.

Also, a new battery for my drill would be useful, they don’t recharge forever.
A new set of high speed drill bits especially the small sizes because they break so easily I’m always short of those.

Anything else would be just plain greedy so I’ll stop now.

Those are great gift ideas! And it’s not greedy if you aren’t expecting to get anything, just helping strangers generate gift ideas. 😉

A daily missal set would be nice, as would a new prayer book or a magnificat subscription although we really do need a new bbq and I could really do with a new oven ( whilst it had a oven put in a couple of years before we brought our house the little old lady who owned it put tin foil at the bottom of it and when the tin foil got dirty put another peice on top and this has made the bottom of my our oven rust )

Lol if you take out the emergency hammer and put in a bbq you pretty much have the same Christmas wish list as my Fiance except he would also like a battery powered chainsaw

I like your fiancé already!

I had an electric chainsaw, mains powered, safe but not that powerful. For small jobs I found it ok. However battery power has improved so who knows…

The Makita battery lawn mower and weed eater ( line trimmers are awesome I’m hoping the chainsaws are justt as good) and as weve got rid of our business he no longer needs a big heavy thing

I see lots of rosaries and statues in catalogs I would love to have.

I would love to have some free time to work on my more artistic projects without feeling like I should be doing other things…

I would love for someone to surprise me with a gift that I love, that they thought on their own with no hints from me.

A (science) magazine subscription. A nice new teapot. Books.

I want love.
There is a knock at the door somewhere in South Carolina.
It’s me!
I give you a fast but a giant hug that pops your back, hand you a tin of rumballs, and then run away.

And then run back because when I tried to run away one of my kids wandered into your house despite all my directions on the way there.

Secures children, shouts Merry Christmas, and runs away!

a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle.

(and maybe a pair of safety glasses so i don’t shoot my eye out 😉)

Time is the one thing we all want more of, but never seem have enough
