Yeah, same here. I was about to say, that’s not all that cold - it’s sweater weather; not parka weather - and sheep come with their own wool sweaters already attached.I thought I might add a statement about sheep either being or not being in the fields.
Jewish shephards would only have had the fields surrounding Jerusalem to keep the sheep that produced the lambs for Passover. Lambs numbering in the tens of thousands were needed each year for sacrifice.

In my state, we call 40F in winter a heat wave.
That’s good to know.Even in cold cold states, sheep are sheared bald early in the Spring prior to the last freezing temperatures.
