I finished my Christmas window. It’s fun to see if I can make what I see in my head. lol Nice try.

The neat thing is that during the day it’s like my own stained glass window when I’m inside the house.

The sizing up of Joseph, which I traced right off my computer screen. I can trace! lol Nothing fancy, just a pencil and ruler to make a grid. Very low tech. Layers of blue tissue paper.

That’s gorgeous! I have a nice big picture window I’m going to try that on.
 
Beautiful!!! Where did you get the idea? Was it pure inspiration? 🙂 Fantastic job either way. 👍 I especially like how you used both windows to give the scene distance and depth–very clever and so well done.

I did something similar many years ago when I still lived with my mom as a teen. But I used colored cellophane and black electrical tape (for the “leading”) to make a stained glass window Nativity scene. Everyone in the neighborhood loved it. I’ll bet your neighbors love your Christmas window display too. :yup:

Colored cellophane! Nice! I would love to see a photo of that but I guess that was a few years back now.

Thank you. I do regret that we never took a picture of it. But it was easy, although I didn’t use a pattern. Still, there are many Nativity scenes in art. A person could set it on a grid and make a scene with cellophane, or colored tissue as you did. Your is a very creative way to share the beauty and joy of Christmas with all who pass by or live near. 🙂

I’ve gotten lazy in my old age. We simply put out lighted Nativity figures on our front deck. They’re there in opposition to all the Santas, elves, snowmen and raindeer some of our neighbors put out–not that those are bad things, but we like to remind ourselves and others of the true meaning of the Season–as long as it’s still legal, that is. :rolleyes:

Yes, the nativity is hard to find. Even advent calendars have cartoon characters that kids like to watch on tv. But! It gives us the opportunity to be salt and light, while we still can. Glory to God.
