Christ's death, free pass to sin?

just wondering because we are all sinners and i sin more than i should but i know Jesus forgives the most horrible sinner on earth if that person came to it and admitted it with his last breath. so what im asking is what do i do if i sin, does God get madder at me ? i dont know.

No Christ’s death is not a free pass to sin… yes God is very merciful, but we shouldn’t ever use that as an excuse to sin 🙂 not only does that make our repentance less genuine, it’s also a huge risk, and it’s a sin to presume upon God’s mercy. Also, it’s an insult to Our Lord… whenever we sin, we add to the weight of sin He had to carry.

That being said, if you’re sincerely trying to not sin and not making excuses, but you keep on sinning anyways, because of weakness, - just keep on trying and don’t give up, because God is very merciful to those who try to follow Him 🙂

The Bible tells us “we all sin and fall short of the glory of God” but it also tells us “there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents” (Lk 15:7). When we sin we separate ourselves from God and his love for us. It is in effect our turning our backs on his love rather than God getting angry at us. The proof of this is in the fact that He gave us the Sacrament of Confession that we might return to Him. The parable of the prodigal son is a good analogy for Gods love for us and His waiting for us to return. although if we choose not to return we can end up in hell!

God loves us no matter what. However, if we live in sin (i.e. do not repent and receive sacramental absolution), we are actively choosing to reject HIm. God created us with free will - our free will is not free if in rejecting Him we are somehow forced to choose Him. Therefore, be reconciled to God, as I must myself be for my sins, and choose Him.

The saint is the person who chooses God at all times.

Why do you think anyone on an internet forum has the authority to answer this?

Might you be better off by merely avoiding all that sin in the first place?
