What is the church’s view on whether or not Jesus was aware of his divinity from birth?

LAMENTABILI SANE condemned the claim that “Christ did not always possess the consciousness of His Messianic dignity.”

The common theological opinion is that the human nature of Jesus had the beatific vision of God from His Incarnation.

My theological opinion is that the degree of understanding in His human mind of His role as Messiah and of His Divinity would have increased with His increasing age. For He is like us, in His human nature, in all things but sin.

So His understanding of His Messianic dignity and of His Divinity would have increased in depth and breadth as he grew up.

Fr. William G. Most wrote an excellent book (available free online here) called “The Consciousness of Christ” where he argues both from Scripture and Tradition that Jesus Christ was fully conscious (in His humanity) of His divinity even from the very moment of His conception.

Hi.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church affirms that Jesus was both fully man and fully God from his conception.

The Catechism seems to support that Christ’s human nature did develop in concert with his growth, but that His awareness of his divinity was ever-present (CCC 471-474).

Scripture indicates that Jesus, as a boy, was also fully aware. When He went missing and Mary and Joseph went to search for Him, they found Jesus astounding Jewish teachers in temple. (Luke 2:49), asking his parents, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
