I have a question regarding Christ’s physical body after the Resurrection and Ascension. Is His physical body in Heaven? How would that work since Heaven is in the spiritual realm? Can matter be present in Heaven?

Yes, matter can be present in Heaven. Think of the bodily resurrection that is to happen at the end of time. If matter couldn’t be present in Heaven then the bodily resurrection could never happen.

Really your question is about the nature of Heaven . . . and we don’t really know, do we, how it works?

We know that a number of bodies have been taken into Heaven - Enoch, maybe Moses, Elijah, Jesus, Mary. So somehow Heaven can accomodate bodies, even though it is “spiritual” rather than “physical”

I tend to think that the spiritual realm is not distinct from the physical realm but just “bigger” than the physical realm - so that it encompasses physical reality plus so much more. But that’s just my thought, I’m not aware of any official doctrine on the subject.

Then heaven would be a physical place. Most theology suggests differently.

Yes, Christ and Mary, and maybe others are physically present in Heaven. Heaven is not only a spiritual place.

From what I’ve read there are alot of people who’ve had near death experiences who say the spiritual realm is far, far more real than the one we are in. This is only a shadow of the reality.

Consider this then.

The time had come for him to ascend to the Father. “When he had led them out as far as Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them, and was carried up into heaven.” (Luke 24:50-51) “And so the Lord Jesus, when he had finished speaking to them, was taken up to heaven, and is seated now at the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:19) Thus did he reach the summit of his exaltation in glory. His being seated symbolizes the heavenly peace to which he has attained; for us it is the pledge of that rest from labor which awaits our toiling humanity. His place at God’s right hand signifies his sharing in the Father’s royalty and judicial power. (Eph. 1:18-23) He is now the ever glorious Son of God, a “Son whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the worlds. He being the effulgence of God’s glory and the very image of his substance upholds the universe by God’s powerful mandate. After effecting purification from sins, he seated himself at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having been made as much superior to the angels as he had inherited a more distinguished name than they.” (Hebrews 1:2-4) There, is our great High Priest, “he is able for all time to save those who come to God through him, since he is always living to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:25)

In addition to Christ bein bodily in Heaven, let us not forget that the Blessed Virgin Mary was bodily assumed into Heaven at the end of her earthly life. The prophet Elijah was carried into Heaven on a firey chariot and Enoch is thought to have also been taken to Heaven without passing through death.

How a physical body exists in Heaven at time is on of the Mysteries of Faith, like the Trinity, the virgin birth and so on.
