I am asking for prayer for a good job (anything really) for my immigrant husband.
Things are desperate. He’s talking about going back to Ireland. But there’s no work there either.
I don’t want to break up our family. Please pray a small prayer for us.
Thank you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.

Prayers going up tonight. I’ll remember you in my rosary tomorrow morning. Hang in there.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

I pray for your desperate employment/financial situ,
hang in there, the RESERVES are coming!

Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope,
to you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this Valley of tears.
Turn, then most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy
towards us and after this our exile, show to us the
blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus!
(Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we will be
made worthy of the promises of Christ!)
Amen.

God be with you, pianistclare. Don’t lose hope! Jesus sees and hears, and knows intimately the problems you face. Nothing happens without His notice, and He will care for you. Have faith whatever happens, no matter how hopeless the situation may appear. We cannot see the end, but God can. It is an old and tired adage, still the truth remains: He may not come when first called, or respond the way we like at first; but He is never wrong and is always on time. Believe in the Lord. He will answer.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31)

Do let’s pray together.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:

Eternal God, in this difficult hour there are so many in need. Unemployment is the scourge of innumerable people, desperate souls who yearn not for wealth or stature, but sufficient ability to care for themselves and their families. You promised in Your Holy Word that You would care for us always; so now we claim this in Your name on behalf of pianistclare. Draw near to her and her husband, and provide employment for him. Bestow upon him the means to shepherd his family and keep everyone together. Imbue him with the strength and patience to wait upon You within the darkest of moments; and at last reward his faith by supplying his need, according to Your will.

Move upon the heart of pianistclare, also. Help her to be a beacon of cheer and encouragement. Fortify her courage in this trial, and shower her with divine love and assurance. Be for her the utmost Rock and Refuge. Let her know the peace and rest that comes from trusting in You. We ask these things in the blessed, glorious name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever, our only Mediator and Advocate…

Ave Maria…
Pater Noster…
Gloria Patri…

Amen.:signofcross:

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

Eternal God in whom mercy is endless
And treasury of compassion inexhaustible
Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us
so that in difficult moments we may not despair nor become despondent
But with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will
Which is love and mercy itself

Praying that the Lord may guide your husband and enable him to find suitable employment soon. Also praying for your family.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Ave Maria…
Pater Noster…
Gloria Patri…

Amen.:signofcross:

*God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations He hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire.

‘Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.’

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Psalm 46)*

Thank you so much!
You of course are in my daily intentions. I am lighting another 7 day candle for all of us under the strain of unemployment.
Much love, many prayers,
pianist

Prayer to St. Joseph:

Joseph, by the work of your hands
and the sweat of your brow,
you supported Jesus and Mary,
and had the Son of God as your fellow worker.

Teach me to work as you did,
with patience and perseverance, for God and
for those whom God has given me to support.
Teach me to see in my fellow workers
the Christ who desires to be in them,
that I may always be charitable and forbearing
towards all.

Grant me to look upon work
with the eyes of faith,
so that I shall recognize in it
my share in God’s own creative activity
and in Christ’s work of our redemption,
and so take pride in it.

When it is pleasant and productive,
remind me to give thanks to God for it.
And when it is burdensome,
teach me to offer it to God,
in reparation for my sins
and the sins of the world.

Amen.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

I continue to pray for you, my friend. Dare to trust in Jesus, no matter what happens. I know the situation hurts terribly, but stand fast nonetheless.

It is not the resolution of our problems that we need beg God to perform, for He already has the answer and will share it in time. What we must pray for earnestly is the faith to make the next step, with our hands clasped firmly in His.

Hold on to Jesus, Clare, and don’t let go.

May the Lord shine His face upon you and bring You peace.

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

*Ave Maria…
Pater Noster…
Gloria Patri…
