Church Atmosphere

How was the atmosphere in your parishes today? Was it joyful and hopeful? Was it more somber or impatient? I’m interested in hearing what other people experienced and what they thought of it.

I went to midnight Mass this morning and it was joyful, reverent, and beautiful. I came away filled with the joy of Christ.

The mood was festive, the singing was better than usual. We even had a small child running around the pews in joy at one point.

We went last night. Very uplifting.

It was a normal Christmas service. People with their families reverently attending church and then ready to get on with their day. Nobody is somber at Christmas Mass and people are only impatient when their kids start acting up.
