Church atrocities

Are you making a joke? “Cultural appropriation” is when an outsider to a culture takes and wrongly exploits some aspect of an insider’s culture. It’s generally considered a bad thing.

Yes, St Paul violently persecuted Christians before his conversion.

Obviously no one commits atrocities after they become a Saint because, well, they’re dead.
 
But in religion isn’t it strange to condemn one religion but use elements of it. I’m not a fan of the cultural appropriation theory but if anything, that’s the exact definition of it.

Some atrocities of the saints I suppose are more or less the church’s past and not necessarily canonized saints. The person who wrote this was upset about forced conversion.
 
I agree if it’s good it’s good but the question is if paganism is so bad, why use elements of it?
 
I’m not making a joke, that’s what some people claimed what happened with such things as Christmas and Easter.
