I don’t know. Maybe you are right. Just wanted to clarify that men, even the pope, can be wrong, and we are not mandated to follow them if they are leading us away from God
Why does it take the authority of an Archbishop? The appropriate thing to do would have been to petition the archbishop with authority over the bishops at the synod to have those statues removed from the church.
Haha. Called by whom? I don’t trust any clergy. Not leaving my kids alone in a room with any clergy anywhere. And for some reason I feel the clergy are the ones responsible for causing me to feel this way.We are called to trust the clergy.
How long it would have taken is irrelevant. Stealing from a Church to take matters into our own hands is wrong.
I’m noticing a lot of ambivalence here.We seem to be passing judgement
Judging actions is one thing, we need to judge actions to know what is right. Judging people, the Church leadership, the Amazons, and assuming their intentions is another.
More ambivalence…Stealing from a Church to take matters into our own hands is wrong. Can you imagine if everybody that thought their intentions were good started doing what they wanted?
This is absolutely incorrect. Stealing is taking something that doesn’t belong to you. Period. What you do with it after is not relevant. It is not stealing if you don’t gain something for yourself.
Judging actions is one thing…assuming their intentions is another.

So don’t assume intentions, but their intentions were eitherMaybe they were stealing just to be malicious?
