Some may find it hard to believe that witch-hunting would occur in the 21st century. But it’s wreaking havoc still in some parts of the world.
In Papua New Guinea, witch hunts have seen a grisly resurgence, with an increased brutality in the methods of punishment. Now, the Catholic Church there is trying to curb those practices, which are reported to be claiming up to 150 lives a year.

It doesnt surprise me at all, yes it is the 21st century, but we also have alot of people out there that dabble in the dark arts, not really a big surprise to see a group going after them, Islamic terrorists are doing the same thing, they feel their religion gives them the right to go out and kill the infidels, no different imo.

Just another group trying to justify killing due to religious beliefs…thats happened all thru out history, probably will never stop.

I think I heard about this, it seems in a lot of Asia, they still accuse people of witchcraft. I think one will find too, that in Saudi Arabia, there is a penalty against witchcraft as well.

You are assuming that the people who are been killed for been witches actually were dabbling in witchcraft. There is often no evidence that was that case. At least in Papua New Guinea.
