An interesting take from a respected Eastern Catholic brother.

FWIW - I found these particular statements to be mst directly related to the theme of the blog post:
Christ loves me and it’s really is not normal for us to be so indifferent to spiritual things. We need to saved from this indifference that we have toward God and in understanding and being honest about it is the first step.
It is not the desire of God that we should feel bored or a lack of enthusiasm with our churches. The problem ultimately is in us. However, He is working to change that.

Hmm, that was a very good article. Thank you for posting it.

My priest told me once that there are days when the absolute last thing he wants to do it get up and perform the Mass. Those are the days, he told me, that it is most important that he does perform the Mass. Not because it does anything for him, but because it shows God that we are putting Him before ourselves. That really stuck with me, and lead me to start attending Mass regularly again.

My current priest told me this too when I was struggling earlier on in the year. It not every time they want to be there - just like us and sometimes its good that we can’t see their thoughts. When I struggle now I remember that and that gets me through those services when I am struggling to be there. I don’t worry as much either about in what format I am there because unlike you guys we have a different set of rules etc about grace and mass though some anglicans think they are the same as you guys but I know in my thankful heart we are not and all that is required is that we are there certainly if we are struggling.
