Immediately after being ordained on November 11 as part of the Roman Catholic Womenpriest Program, Hudson and McGrath were greeted by a special process server in the lobby of the Central Reform Congregation. That would be the same process server who, six days before their ordination, delivered the women the official word that they would be automatically excommunicated by going through with their planned ordination. This time the process server appeared with a letter from the archbishop stating that Hudson and McGrath were “summoned” to appear “personally before [him]” at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 3, in order to defend themselves against the charges of “schism” and “rejection of the definitive truth, de fide tenenda, infallibly set forth that women cannot validly receive the sacrament of ordination to the priesthood.”
Hudson and McGrath were MIA Monday.

“Failure to appear,” according to Burke’s letter, “will entail the imposition of an ecclesiastical penalty in [their] regard, according to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law.”

McGrath says she and Hudson did not consider showing up for the hearing. “We would have had one of two options at the tribunal. One: to plead guilty to the charges of heresy and schism and recant, which is, of course, a lie. Or two: to prove that we’re right and they’re wrong, which is, of course, impossible. There’s another reason, too, for not going, and that is to demonstrate that a mere man who presumes to speak for God has no power over us. Were we to have attended the hearing, we would be granting him a position of authority, which is one of the very things we want to eradicate in our model of priestly ministry.”

McGrath says she and Hudson don’t know what further penalties Burke might have in mind for them. “He considers us excommunicated,” McGrath adds. “We do not consider ourselves excommunicated.”

Is that a bad word I read in the thread title, or was it used in an appropriate context?

I’ll let the moderator be the judge of that.

These women have chosen a path that leads straight to Hell, because they have willingly and knowingly separated themselves from the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

**‘Be not afraid!’
**Attempted ordinations to the priesthood

by Archbishop Raymond L. Burke

Introduction

I write with great sadness about the announced attempt to ordain two women of the Archdiocese of St. Louis to the Order of Priests, on this coming Nov. 11 at the synagogue of the Central Reform Congregation, located at 5020 Waterman Ave. in the City of St. Louis.

Question? A bit OT

Why would a synogogue rent out itself to a group that makes light of another religious group?

I could never see my pastor renting out our hall to a group that blasphemes Judaism.

It is a reform congregation…I guess anything goes:shrug:

Looks like there’s no room for authority in the NewSpeak church these women want to create. Of course, their ungodly church bears no resemblance to the Catholic Church, since the whole structure of the Catholic Church is based on hierarchical authority through the bishops from the Pope.

McGrath says she and Hudson don’t know what further penalties Burke might have in mind for them. “He considers us excommunicated,” McGrath adds. “We do not consider ourselves excommunicated.”
Unfortunately for them, God also considers them to be excommunicated.

You know I was away from the workings of the Church for quite a few years and I can’t believe what is happening with the women today. Ican’t believe women doing this today. Were they felt so discriminated all their lives that they have to do this? Did they always want to be priests or are they jealous or did they never feel like women and being in a woman role. I never imagined this would be happening in the Church, someitmes I’m worried about what will happen next. Do you think it is a disease today?
Maybe they have dementia or some power is behind them.
I’m embarrassed by some of what the women are doing today, flaunting everything trying to prove what? Now they think they are priests what next Pope? Who is pushing this? It is very distressing.

I love this part

Or two: to prove that we’re right and they’re wrong, which is, of course, impossible. They acknowledge that they can’t prove that they are correct…Well ladies if you can’t prove your correct then that means the bishop and the church are so then they do have the authority…Gesh and they think they are “trained” enough to be ordained?

It is my understanding that Modernism in its essence denies the Metaphysical realities of the Church.
Womenpriests argue from a physical and poor philosophical position. They believe with great conviction that they are correct and can not even begin to understand the higher truth.

I’m praying for Jesus’ mercy & that these “sheperds” don’t lead too many lambs astray.

I don’t get it, though. They don’t want to be excommunicated, but they say the diocese has no authority over them. If you reject the authority of the Church, why do you want to be a “priest” in & belong to that Church?

They truly are rejecting authority and they aren’t priests any more than if I put on a police uniform and go out and stop cars for driving too fast. It would be false and I would be arrested for impersonating an officer.
I think they have lost a few marbles or have a touch of dementia.
They want to start their own church and are heretical. It is sad, I hope the ones involved, at the church who seem supporting them will stop.

Pure dishonesty. They repudiate the divinely revealed authority structure of the Church, but desire to remain within the structure because it is their goal to conduct a takeover of Catholic institutions. Basically, they think they have a better chance at hijacking an existing church and its existing resources than at starting a new one from scratch.

Let us all promise to pray for these two “lay women” led astray by the father of lies. Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit may enlighten them so they can see the errors of their ways and return to the one true Church which they so willfully turned their backs on and left.
