Church of god using smyrna to claim apostolic succession

I came across this video of a guy who tries to use polycarp and the church of Smyrna to claim that they can trace their succession through this church. What are your thoughts and how would you disprove it?

For the record, the “Continuing Church of God” is not the Church of God (Cleveland, Tenn.) that I grew up in.

Polycarp was the Catholic bishop of Smyrna. He was a direct disciple of St John the apostle
