Can someone explain to me how we know that the place that the Church of the Nativity is built over is where Jesus was born. I’d like to know the story behind the Tradition.
 
As this previous thread didn’t get much attention in Spirituality, I am moving this to Apologetics (a forum for discussing historical controversies).
