I thought that this was an interesting article in the Boston Globe today. The article focuses on two brothers who are both Episcopal priests. One brother is gay and blesses same-sex unions and the other brother is a “conservative” Episcopal priest who recently left the American episcopal wing to be made a bishop under the auspices of the Kenyan Anglican church. The latter brother’s reason for leaving the Episcopal church? He deeply opposed the ordination to bishop of Gene Robinson, an openly gay man who lives with a partner in New Hampshire. This brother is very vocal about his opposition to homosexual relations and considers it a grave sin. Obviously his other brother disagrees and this rift has become somewhat public and awkward for them both. Maybe the non-gay brother will come over to the Catholic church some day where the teaching on this matter is clear.

Wonder how one brother got the gene and the other didn’t:shrug: Seriously, this must be tough for them and their entire family. I just don’t understand how a Christian can justify behavior that is contrary to sacred scripture.
