Church's view on homosexuality?

I think I do get what you’re saying, but this third gender idea (and it is just an idea) is nothing to do with homosexuality - you are confusing a physiological state with a psychological process. I also don’t think it’s that relevant - I have many homosexual friends, men and women, and I would never presume to question what their physical state is.

I know homosexuality is wrong (in my head & heart) but how do I understand or explain scripture from old testament Genesis, that apparently condemns homosexuality on one hand, but also in the same book of Genesis, it seems to advocate incest (or ‘ok’ it) when Lot has drunken sex with his daughters who both become pregnant with him & give birth to his offspring. How does the church explain this confusing message?
It helps that by the grace of God I’m happily married & never had homosexual tendencies in any way myself, but I feel for people who do as this is a suffering & huge trial in people’s lives & they need supportive sincere Catholics to walk with them if they are suffering.
