I’m going to be in Cincinnati this weekend for a little vacation. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a church to attend while there. We’ve got nothing planned for Sunday morning so Mass times and drive times don’t matter much.

Catholic of course, Roman rite.

Ideally we’d like to go to a big beautiful church.

I attended at St Peter in Chains when I drove through a few years ago, which was fairly nice. There are also a couple of impressive-looking churches across the river in Covington: Mother of God, and Basilica of the Assumption.
 
I live in NKY, and I go to St. Agnes in Ft. Wright. (we have a 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30).
Someone mentioned Mother of God, which is nice.
This is going to sound terrible, but if you will be in a hurry I recommend St. Augustine’s in Covington.

TheCathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky (just across the Ohio river), is a minor basilica in the United States.

According to the St. Mary Cathedral’s website: “The Cathedral’s North transept window is the world’s largest church stained glass window, measuring 67 ft (20 m) high by 24 ft (7.3 m) wide. It presents the early fifth century Ecumenical Council of Ephesus that proclaimed Mary as the Mother of God.”

Modeled after Notre Dame, it is pretty incredible. Check out the Wikipedia article or the church’s website.
