So today I saw a Christmas decoration which was a broom made from cinnamon/heavyly scented of it. They also had wreaths. Two things I’ve never seen

The company was called “A touch of Country Magic,” they seemed christian but what got me was they felt the need to add a “warning” like thing telling you to read Exodus 30.

When I tried to look up links and the history of the Cinnamon broom, all I found was wiccan things.

So my question is does anyone know the history of the cinnamon scent in the Christmas time especially in a cinnamon broom?

thanks

Don’t know anything about that but do I know I bought one once and it made my house smell yummy? If you are concerned about the origin I don’t think it really matters if you are not using it for the wrong reasons.

I think it’s more a fall and winter thing, because this is the time people make spiced cider and the smell of cinnamon permeates the home.

I’d think a broom shape is used because it’s associated with Halloween.

Another very old-fashioned Christmas scent is rosemary. I used to know someone who made cute country-style angel ornaments and stuffed them with dried rosemary. I still have one.

As has been said, don’t worry about where the idea might have come from. EVERYTHING comes from God!

Cinnamon has no more occult connections than anything else in your spice rack, and it is very healthy. Medical research is showing that taking capsules of cinnamon lowers and controls blood sugar in a healthier way than many diabetes medications.
