So every morning I send my wife a love letter, through email. It’s funny but during the week I send it when I know she’s at work, and on the weekends I try to time it for when I know the OM is not around, in hopes that she will read them.

It’s also sad, that I feel like I’m the one who has to sneak around to communicate with my wife about the deepest desires of my heart.

Well kids,

Looks like this one is a wrap. She’s made it very clear over the last day or so that she is not coming back, I feel like my overtures for reconciliation have only pushed her further away, and we are now coming up on the fifth month of my trying, and the 7th month of her affair.

I thought I was making some headway when I posted a few days ago, but I was wrong. Maybe some day she will realize what she left is more than she was really willing to part with. Maybe someday she will realize the pain and hurt she’s caused to the son she says she loves more than life itself. Maybe someday she will understand that the man she left me for is not the man he claims to be. Maybe.

I have shifted my prayers to ask God to forgive me my own sins, and to make me the man he wants me to be. I also pray that the two of them will find the happiness they seek in each other, because I fear that if they don’t, it may break her entirely.

I’m done making a fool of myself, I’m done. Enough now, enough of this.

It would seem that the right course is to apply your full attention to making the best home you can for you and your son. And you need to take care of yourself, both because you deserve it, and because your son needs you to be well and content.
