Funny that, isn’t it? That you will be punished I mean, since it’s the supposed liberal societies that promote freedom (hence why we should accept LGBT rights etc.) that seem so adamant to punish those who have an opinion that goes against whatever agenda they are pushing. Where’s the freedom?

Why does the Catholic Church oppose same-sex civil marriages? I thought the church doesn’t recognize civil marriage in general, so why the concern.

Because of what the word “marriage” implies. It implies sexual relations.
