I wonder who is worse. The self-righteous, judgmental gossipers who believe. The person who sins through the flesh to enjoy life. People who sleep around or drink excessively are looking for ways to enjoy their life. People who are mean-spirited are looking for wants to control and dominate others. People who judge others or gossip are insecure people looking to use others to make themselves feel better. They cannot live and let live. Those who sleep around or drink excessively are no harm to others. Sometimes I think the words we say are worse than fighting. An insult can cut deep into the heart. Surely, there is no laws to protect sarcastic comments, rude behavior or insults. Fighting is just primal. Surely it is barbaric. It is more likely to not be repeated. I think civilized sins are a bit worse because they can be easily hidden or justified.
I promise myself this is my last post on sin for the year. I do not want to focus on the negatives so much. I will let God deal with issues I cannot comprehend. We are called to love & follow Him not understand every single law.

I don’t know. I would much rather live with a judgmental person than a violent one. Furthermore, nasty words are more easily forgiven than violent actions.

Would you rather live with a fornicator or a judgmental Pharisee?

I’d rather not think about a sliding scale.

I’d rather try my best and not worry about other people’s sins.
You spend way too much time thinking about who’s doing what.
God doesn’t really give a choice between sinners. We choose out own partners and friends in this life.

The depravity of sin, in order from greatest to least is:

To sin out of malevolence
To sin out of selfish pleasure
To sin out of ignorance

Others’ sins should not matter to us as much as our own, as it is our own that we will go to Purgatory for!
