clarification please

Hi …i have some thoughts that kinda bother me regarding the different churches…i do not know the teachings of Protestants or others…i dont even know the major differences…my question is this: If i believe Jesus, The Trinity God, Jesus’ atonment for my sins, and act according to Jesus’ most important commandmants, does it really matter if am a catholic or protestant? arent these the basics of our faith and salvation? I pray for the union of the Church, i heard from various priests that the will is there, it only needs time. I’d appreciate any clarifying answer to my thoughts…

So, if you don’t know the teachings of Protestants or others. . .does that mean you’re Catholic? If so, I recommend that you check out the Catechism of the Catholic church (you can do it online here

and find out exactly what the Catholic church teaches.

This is also good if you’re NOT Catholic

Really. Read, and learn, the teachings of the Church, and you’ll know why it MATTERS to be a Catholic. . . .(said, of course, with deep love and respect for ALL people on earth, Catholic or not)

If you’re driving a car and know the basics - how the steering wheel works, how to change gears, which is the gas and break pedal - does it matter if you can see over the dashboard?

thank you for the link; i will read it to know where i went wrong in my thoughts. btw, am a catholic; it is just that i dont know what protestants believe in…i know we share the basics but it seems there is a major belief that we dont share donno ; i have to study the difference; can you provide me with a protestant link to compare it with the link you gave? thx
