I am law-student and in the same situation. My work is closed today but not my school. Since i never miss class, I don’t see the big deal in missing one. I will just go to my first two classes and skip my last class that starts at 2:30 so that i can get to services by 3. I don’t undestand what is the big deal? Be a responsible student and don’t use all your allowed absents early in the semester and you will be able to use them for things like today. Thats what they are therefore. Its not like she has to miss all of her classes just the one that keeps her from missing good friday service.
BTW the person who said to plan your schedule to not have friday classes? Well take me for example. As a first year law student we don’t get a choice in our class schedule. It is made for us and we are told to show up. Plus have a top heavy class load on one day is rough on the body, mind and scheudle. Its hard to study for say 4 classes in one day. I do agree that you can plan though. I mean everyone knows that services are always going to be at 3 on Friday so just plan accordingly.
