May I encourage you to try? I have no talent. But there are a lot of easy things that sound great. I am sure you could play them in a few months.

Utterly no time 🙂 In a few years, i’d love to go back to trumpet (I used to play) and maybe pick up a few other instruments as well

Ya, time is the main obstacle. I seem to go in cycles, flute, guitar, nothing but work, etc.

I play.

Currently, I’m pretty much boxed into “Bahh-bahh Black Sheep” and the like.

One day I’ll do something more interesting.

In college, I had a band leader who would transpose cello parts for me to play. LOVED it.

How about some easy Fernando Sor studies? That is about all i feel at ease playing in public.

I’d need guidance on how to get into it again.

And right now nursrey rhymes are a “public” performance. Albeit to the 3 foot and under club at the co-op.

I play guitar. Mainly bluegrass though. I suppose I could do classical but that would require the use of fingers. I usually use a pick. A little practice would be needed. I suppose I’ll leave the classical stuff to the piano and play it on the keys.

I play. I prefer steel string guitar though, or maybe a classical guitar with a slimmer fretboard. I love the ukulele though. I feel it’s the perfect instrument.

One of my sons plays classical guitar, on a classical guitar he himself made from scratch.
It’s perfect,
And his playing brings tears to my eyes.
Classical guitar, beautiful
(He also plays classical piano)

Music is a special gift to humankind, isn’t it

I have a Giannini which has nylon strings but thinner neck the standard classical.

Wow, it must take a great deal of skill and patients to make one.

I was a finger-pickin’ folksinger, playing a nylon-string classical model, back in the day. I really like true classical guitar music, but I can play only the simplest etudes out of my Carcassi book.

D

I play classical. Take a lesson every Tuesday. I hope I’m making progress (but it’s hard to tell sometimes)!

I’d also like to get into flamenco.

I played guitar for 20 years before taking up the mandolin as my primary instrument 25 years ago. I have been a church music minister for most of that 45 years and I do play classical music, as well as other styles, on the mandolin and octave mandolin.

I tried classical guitar back in my guitar days, had a teacher, practiced a lot, etc. but it was not for me. I prefer being part of an ensemble and being free to add color to the music where I feel that it fits. A classical player is challenged to “be the music.” It’s a ton of responsibility in musical terms. I have a lot of admiration for good classical guitar players and I wish there were more of them who played in church.
