Hallmark Channel is generally family-friendly, and offers moral and wholesome movies and shows. My favorite series is Hallmark’s original series
When Calls the Heart, a Christian Western set in the early 1900s. It has engaging plot lines, and every episode teaches a moral lesson. It is available in libraries, on netflix, on dvds, and on TV. I love this show, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for morality in the media! It is based on the novels by Janette Oke (Christian author) produced by the avidly-Christian Michael Landon Jr. (Michael Landon’s son) and Brian Bird (Touched by an Angel executive producer), who consider their many movie and television projects ways to spread the Gospel through the media. (They have produced several other Christian movies that are also outstanding!)

Of course, older shows like Little House on the Prairie, Highway to Heaven, Touched by an Angel, and Bonanza (Bonanza has mild old-west violence and infrequent use of mild language) are fantastic moral shows.
