Is it true that climate change is no longer up for debate? I have read mixed comments and am unsure myself.
I know something called the National Climate Assessment came out, but how to view it seems unclear.

It’s probably not up for debate while Trump is in office; he did throw out the Paris Agreement.

I see his point that U.S. already does best job on environmental issues. But, this is only relevant to what happens w/I its own borders.

At same time, we consume so much junk, it surely can’t be good for global climate.

Trump doesn’t control debate in Washington or privately.

The reason we pulled out of the agreement was there was nothing scientific about it, it was pure politics, and quite expensive and detrimental to our economy.

I think the debate has moved on. Namely, even if the climate is changing, will anything we do have the ability to reverse it?

I personally think it makes more sense to wait and see what happens, and then just adapt to the changing climate.

It’s also important to keep in mind that scientists from the 70s made predictions that did not happen, so while we respect our scientists and our meteorologists, we cannot put 100% stock in their predictions because they do not have a good track record of predicting accurately.

Carly Fiorina basically destroyed Katie Couric on this topic on youtube. I cannot post the link because I am new but the video has over a million views on youtube and you can search it on youtube by searching:

I believe that environmental regs can be positive to the economy. Besides, economy, as it is defined by economists, is a deception.

Economy in U.S. is largely dictated by government policy. Any changes leaning towards cleaner enviro just shifts the jobs/wealth to different sectors.
