I might have all this wrong, let me know.

I remember something about the end times starting (or stoping?) when the first child is born without a soul. If that’s wrong, then the rest of this won’t make sense, but here goes.

Do you think that maybe a cloned human would be the first “child born” without a soul? Seems like it could fit. For some reason, the whole story about the first child born with out a soul, or when the place where souls await birth runs out, escapes me at the mooment.

Thought I would put it out there.

IMHO I would say no, only because the Bible and Jesus have been very clear that we won’t see the end of time coming until we are there.

If I remember right, the first baby without a soul would be the seventh sign or seal. I’m not sure how much of this is hollywood or not, it’s just what I remember.

The Catholic Church is clear that a cloned child does indeed have a soul. Otherwise, we could clone children and harvest their parts, like we do animals, without any moral reservation.

A cloned embryo is simply a “delayed-twin” of the original. No less a person than any twin.

From* Evangelium Vitae*:

"Even if the presence of a spiritual soul cannot be ascertained by empirical data, the results themselves of scientific research on the human embryo provide ‘a valuable indication for discerning by the use of reason a personal presence at the moment of the first appearance of a human life: how could a human individual not be a human person?’ "

This is for sure nothing but Hollywood. Scary thought, if people were cloned and the powers that be decided they were soulless, it would open the doors to unutterable abuses.
It would make a good sci-fi story though. I used to write sci-fi but have quit to a large extent because you can’t get much weirder than current affairs.

That is pure Hollywood. There is no truth to this idea at all.

No person is born without a soul. God specially creates each soul at conception.

Souls do not “await birth”. Each soul is a special creation of God at the moment of conception.

The idea you refer to is a mish-mash of Hollywood movies focusing on the occult. Rosemary’s Baby, The Omen… and some really bad Demi Moore movie. Do not be troubled, as there is no truth in this.
