My Opinion, I think their trying to Playing God. Yes they can clone a dead person, but it wont be them.

Pretty good. And my clone says the same thing. 😃

Just kidding. Of course, aside from the fact that the Church teaches that it is wrong, my gut feeling is that it is tampering with human life in a way we have no business doing.

Sure they can try to clone a human being but everything BUT the physical features will be changed.

This will be a good but Bad example.
If Hitler was cloned, the clone would look like him but the clone would NOT have the personality of the real Hitler.
Say in 2045 a clone of Hitler was created, the real Hitler was born near the end of the 19th. century, the Era and the times of Hitler’s youth could not be the same in 2045. The clones parents would be different than the real Hitler’s parents. There are too mnay factors involved here to make an ‘exact copy right down to the personality’ be possible.

Only GOD can duplicate himself in the God/Man Jesus Christ!

I would think that if God did not consider the clone to be a valid human, God would not provide a human soul for its eternal existence. I believe it takes both body and soul - or are we somehow forcing God to come up with a soul?

There is no point to cloning whole human beings. We have a time-tested method of reproducing people. Cloning organs from adult cells is different however; to that I don’t see any obvious moral objection.

I made a clone of myself once. There was a problem with his speach patterns and all he could do was curse. I was so embarrassed that I took him to the top of my office building and pushed him off.

I was later arrested for making an Obscene Clone Fall…:rotfl:

and i doubt he would grow that stupid little mustache in today’s culture.

I don’t mind animals or organs being cloned because that can be useful, but humans being cloned is wrong.

I agree. You shouldnt clone a person, theres really no reason for it considering the person will be different from the person you lost except in looks, but cloning organs to save someones life isnt bad.

Lest we forget what happend to Frankensteins monster
Basically, That’s what I think would happen if a human being were to be cloned. The ‘creation’? would be some mutant or deformed type of personality that killing it would be the only recourse.
However, just as cloning may have some good aspects, some evil, twisted, demented scientist or government would want to release such a havoc on this world!

Don’t forget that cloning for the purposes of getting organs for transplants still involves destroying an innocent life to get those organs. You cannot clone just an organ–you have to clone an entire human being, kill him or her, then “harvest” the organs.

Sorry for the grisly details, but, based on some of the posts so far, I think this needed to be clarified.

There are a lot of things here to ponder. Can just an organ be grown without having to grow the entire person? I don’t know, but a previous reply says no.

My gut feeling is that cloning of humans is going to happen sometime, somewhere. My main concern is that every person, including clones, are treated equally with all the dignity that humans deserve.

If a person is cloned and considered to be “less than human” and treated like cattle, that will be a grievous sin.😦

Personally, I think cloning animals so someone can still have their favorite pet back is silly. We’ve had a lot of pets over the years for our children. When one died, we missed it dearly, but when we got the next, there were different things about the new pet that we never enjoyed with the previous one.

very true, it won’t be them. Just a copy of the original person! How can you love a loved one when they are not really them? They should be ashamed of themeselves for trying to play God! Anyway good point you brought up there RomanRyan 1088.

It’s just another way for satan to have control… It is the most “God” playing role I have ever heard of… OUTRAGOUS of course…:banghead:

It depends…if you are cloning me…then it makes sense, but most people I would not be in favor of cloning:p .

Just kidding–cloning should not be engaged in–even by someone as strikingly handsome as myself;) .

Human cloning is not likely to be used any time soon to make duplicates of people, but rather to make babies to be killed for their stem cells. This has already been approved in Great Britain.

It’s no joking matter. Not only is human cloning wrong, wrong, wrong, but it’s being used to make babies to use for their parts! How horrible is that?
