You’ve probably heard many times that God loves you. I want to tell you something more: God likes you. God is really fond of you and all sorts of random and wonderful characteristics you have. Lots of times other people have criticized you for those characteristics, or made you feel bad because of them. Your parents deeply wounded you, over and over.
You need healing, bro. So do I. So do most people.
My biggest piece of advice is to find a person, or a few people, who you really trust, who are really capable of loving you in a way your parents weren’t. Impose yourself on these people. Be vulnerable to them, and let them know how deeply you need love.
Lastly, I want to let you know that you seem to be a perfectly competent typist and a good writer. I teach writing, and most teachers I know can’t write nearly as clearly and intelligently as you do.
