Does anyone have any information on the closing Mass for the Youth Synod, scheduled for 28 Oct 2018? Some sources are complaining that the liturgy will have a number of changes or innovations. Can’t find any facts on this.

Some sources are complaining
Where did you see or read that? I did a quick search and only found one article and it was on a really fringe website that I’m sure you would not cite. Curious.

I do not see anything about this either, so I believe that it will be a “normal” mass at the closing of the Youth Synod. I think the sources you are seeing are probably just against the Norvus Ordo mass, which is understandable, but a far cry from the sky is falling. I don’t think anyone is fooling themselves for a second that Pope Francis would even consider celebrating an EF mass, but there’s enough dirt out there on Pope Francis that I don’t think we need to resort to conspiracy theories to attack him.

I think the worst thing we’ll see at the Youth Synod is some dancing, and if we’re lucky we might even avoid that.

Oh puhlease. Now some of us are going to referee masses we’re not even attending? Just stop.

I did the same. There was one whacko site that listed the conspiracy theory leading to the big denouement – “we’re talking about the Ordinary Form!” That’s the liturgy they’re describing as being filled with “changes or innovations.”

@mrsdizzyd nailed it – stay away from conspiracy websites.

This is why I will likely never attend a Latin mass. It is virtually non-existent around here, and I’m nowhere near holy enough to be in the company of people that spotless.

My own OF parish is just that, a group of sinners trying to be better, that’s all. As for getting involved, what would you suggest? I’m the RCIA director here, and a lector, but if you have other ideas I would entertain them.

Not only that, it’s for a Mass that hasn’t even happened yet.

I think the reason the OP is having difficulty finding anything on this is because those “sources” aren’t trustworthy. I wouldn’t pay any attention to them.

Google turned up one for me, it is a “New Mass is da DEVIL I tell you” sort of article.

This turned out to be a deliberately misleading story at 1Peter5. The editor has apologized.
