Cloth image draws visitors to P.E.I. church
Visitors to St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Tignish say they see images of both Jesus and the Virgin Mary on the purple curtain, which is embroidered with gold thorns. It was hung on Wednesday night to mark the beginning of Lent.

Word spread throughout Prince County after the image was first spotted during Friday night services. People have been coming from as far away as Charlottetown, about a two-hour drive away, to snap photos of the cloth.

The cloth has been moved several times during services, but the image has remained, say churchgoers. The church has used the same cloth for the past two years, but this is the first time people have seen an image.
