People are hungry. I heard once when Jerusalem was under siege, people were made to starve. It wa so horrible that people ate their own childreen…it could be a different country…I could be wrong
When people are hungry, sometimes they loose reason. Especially when they don’t have strong enough Faith. The nude body has something to do with the understanding of the meaning of life, family, and relationships. Seeing yourself regularly without seeing the opposite sex, and other is not enough to have a well seated idea of the complementality of the sexes. People are stuck with a body they don’t understand. Since man is a rational creatures and want to understand, they will try to satisfy this hunger. Unfortunately in the West, porn turn out to be the closest and only apparent place where nude bodies can be seen. What a shame!
It is not accident that Countries which appear to be puritanical are also the same struggling with homosexuality and all kinds of sexual confusions. Countries that abhor homosexualities are also the same that are relaxed and at peace with simple nudity. They grasp the meaning of relationships almost unconsciously. People there know that breasts are for breastfeeding, for babies not for men. The feeling of chock or lust at the sight of a women breast is unexistant in some cultures. Childreen in neighborhood bathing or swimming together. Grown up swimming sometimes nude in some proper areas. In brief, no puritanical regulations on public nudity. They have a strong sense of modesty, they know that a nude body does not mean ‘prepare for sex’.
Peacefully seeing nudity often is a healthy thing. Like in the way we see an airplane in the sky often. When you hear it, you don’t necessarly look at it. And when you look at it, you look at it with peace in the heart as long as airplanes in sky does not mean ‘imminent danger’ for instance. However, if you are in a place where airplane in sky means ‘bombs are about to drop’. Then…hearing it is a horrific experience…
The solution is not to forbide airplanes in the sky, but to bring peace, so airplane can actually come to mean peace.
I believe nudism is just an other fondementalism. It is the opposite exreme of puritanism.

However, for a man to take off all his clothers before heading for the waters on a beach, and put them back on once he is out, I don’t see anything wrong with it…objectively speaking. What belong to the spouse is not the form of the body. All men /women have the same form!! What really belong to the spouse is the unique full person who is fully given in marriage, not the small part on the beach or at work or on the street.
When people confuse the meaning of nudity, I think it also affect marriage seriously. If a nude body is seen as a lust generating thing, then people inevitably will lust after their own spouse. Or will think that only my spouse may be allowed to lust after me and call this modesty.
