CMRI Priests, Sisters?

Hello Friends,

Could somebody please tell me if CMRI Priests and Sisters are loyal to the magesterium? They have a lovely online giftshop, but something smells schismatic to me.

Perhaps they are true Catholics (loyal to the Pope) who are just waaay into the old-skool way of doing things?..

Absolutely not. They do not recognize Pope Benedict XVI. In fact, they consider him an anti-Pope.

I have delt with a couple of them in the past on other sites and, let just say, they all have been banned. And this includes one site that almost always never bans perople. I know what their main web site is, but I refuse to post links to sites like that.

You are very much correct in your sense of smelling something schismatic with the CMRI, and I would stay well away from them much less support them in any way.

They are among what are known to be Sedevacantists, meaning they believe all Popes going back to Pius XII are heretical and false including Vatican II. As well that the Novus Ordo Mass (Mass of Pope Paul VI) is invalid.

And I suspect this thread won’t last here very long, as Sedevacantism is (or was) a banned topic in this forum.

Yeah, I’d say a comment such as this would be a dead give-away, as in code-word for schismatic

Nor have we chosen to retain the traditional Mass out of stubbornness or disobedience. Rather, we act in obedience to past infallible teachings of the Catholic Church.

Wow. You see, I recently discovered that it was okay for a Priest to celebrate the “old” (is it called “Tridentine”?) Mass in some parishes, so I thought maybe this is what these folks were doing, like, all the time… but something sounded fishy to me!
