Thanks for the (name removed by moderator)ut. Can you possibly specify what the problem with the footnotes is? Any specifics?
I wouldn’t know where to begin, except to say that there are multiple concerns which have been expressed. I recommend doing a search on the forum for NAB footnotes, and I am confident you will find the information you are seeking.

Yes, thank you, I have done a search and found some things that do upset me.

Of the list of other Catholic bibles, do you know if any of them have footnotes? Or is there possibly some other resource out there that would be a great study assistant to help me better understand the meanings of passages?

why can’t they just use the translations they use at mass from the lectionary and Roman Missal and adhere to those in the Holy Bible?

If you search “study Bible” or “Bible commentary” you will also find scores of threads on the subject outlining the pro’s and con’s of various resources. However, some of the more popular ones you are going to hear about include the Navarre Series, The Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, the Haydock Commentaries, the Catena Aurea, the Catholic Scripture Study International Bible, the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture Series, Pope Benedict’s Jesus of Nazareth series, etc. All of those listed would make good choices in my opinion.
