Catholics, and Non-Catholics alike, all Christians, Muslims, Jews, anyone that believes in a God, please go to CNN and take the quick poll, question is Do you believe in God? An atheist group has hi-jacked the polling to skew answers, heck even our atheist and Agnostic friends go vote, even if you don’t believe in a God, to share your views. Won’t link it, but the poll is on the right side of the homepage, right below World Business. Stats as of right now

Yes 32% 8255
No 68% 17424
Total Votes: 25679

Side note, do you believe that this IS reflective of the the United States today? Implications?

What exactly does a poll matter? Does Jesus need to be ‘popular’ for the sake of the Gospel?

You know he was crucified right? A lot like His apostles were stoned, etc.

The church has seen its most evangelistic growth under persecution. I say bring it on.

those who believe in God go to church. those who don’t go to the internet 😃

Because if it said that atheism was very rare, then it would be used, and quoted as valid all over the news. The fact that so many non-theists saw fit to vote, thanks to PZ Myers and others, means that nobody will accept the result, and it can not be misused to abuse atheists.

And let us be clear, this is not a hack, no apparent dishonesty was used to create this poll result, it’s just that some of the most read pro-atheist websites mentioned the poll, and so skewed the sample.

Gah, I wanted to vote but it was a vote about the H1N1.

This vote must not have been up very long. :ouch:

I’m not sure, honestly. There were a few nation wide polls in the last ten years, all saying that ~75% of Americans did indeed believe in a God or higher power.

Those polls were years ago, though.
