which is NO ONE’s business but theirs.

There are scores of medical proceedures that are unnatural…we do them anyways becasue they improve quality of life. Your beliefs and the beliefs of the catholic church, and the pope are great for those that choose to follow them, but to suggest that they apply to everyone is self-centered and dishonest. I don’t need to read JPs readings to KNOW that I do not believe them nor will I ever…they are irrelevant to me and the majority of the rest of the world.
The Church in Her Wisdom through Christ PERMITS NATURAL Family Planning.

Ouch.

By using NFP he and his wife are open to new life. Therein lies the difference.

You need to mind your own business.
Hi! 👋

We are called to speak the truth in love when we see sin. Minding your own business in the face of sin is a sin itself. A sin of omission.

In Christ,
Nancy 🙂

This is what you believe…that doesn’t make it the truth though.
You’re right, it’s not true because an individual believes it. It’s true because God teaches it through his Church, the upholder, protector and defender of the truth (1 Tim 3:15).

Nancy 🙂

It’s irrelevant to non-catholics…it doesn’t matter…you choose to live by those teachings and rules, others don’t have to.

You certainly have every right to believe that…it doesn’t change the fact that other people have different beliefs that are just as real and truthful to them. It’s not my place or yours or any particular church to tell them they are wrong.

The fact remains…it’s a personal matter and NO ONE ELSES business…

Most medical procedures aren’t intrinsically evil. The purpose of sterilization is to thwart the will of God since each and every human being is willed into existence by God.

The truths taught by the Catholic Church are absolute. Sterilization is objectively wrong, regardless of the opinion of individual believers. Belief that something is evil needn’t be unanymous in order for it to objectively be evil.

Items taught by the catholic church may be truths to you, but are by no means absolute. I appreciate that you believe they are, and to you they may be, but they aren’t for most of us.

Tubal ligation is objectively evil. Varient opinions to not effect that fact.
the purpose of sterilization is to twart unwanted pregnancy.
All pregnancies are wanted by God. Sterilization puts the will of the individual over that of God. “My will be done God, not your will”. That is sinful.

God is objectively true for everyone, even those who don’t believe He exists. God does not exist for those who believe and not for those who don’t. Failure to believe in God doesn’t render Him untrue. Likewise, what God had revealed to us through his Church is objectively true for everyone, even those who don’t believe it.

Abortion is absolutely and objectively evil, even for those who think it’s fine. Believing that abortion is fine doesn’t make it fine. Likewise, sterilization is absolutely and objectively evil, even for those who don’t believe that it is.

Absolute truth does not require unanymous agreement.

Nancy 🙂

You can continue to repeat this over and over again…it doesn’t change the fact that your opinion isn’t fact, and it doesn’t make it the truth for anyone other than those who choose to believe it.

Save yourself from the carpel tunnel…you’ll NEVER change my mind or most other humans on the face of the earth on this issue…it’s a personal belief, not an objective truth.

What happened to all of sunwheel’s posts? Every single one of them is gone.

Yeah for technology!!! I support use of the ignore button by those that don’t respect the opinions of others, and for those that believe that they have the only correct answers…

We have a good moderator, I guess.

Sun went down… but I think he was in the dark already.

Perhaps he/she was someone banned who tried to return.

Come Tuesday/Wednesday, I think we will have less aggitators, and more sour grapes after the Bush win, God willing.

Truth is true for everyone even for those who don’t believe it. My example about God being real even for atheists was an example.

Never say never. At one time I was vehemently pro-choice. I couldn’t understand for the life of me how anyone could not be. I “knew” it was a personal belief and not an objective truth that abortion was evil. No one could tell me otherwise. The Lord profoundly changed my heart after I put my life in His hands. No, I’m not suggesting you haven’t put your life in God’s hands. I’m simply relaying how even minds that are sure they will never change sometimes do.

Some things are objectively evil even though some may believe it’s a matter of personal choice. Abortion is one such example and so is sterilization. God says it’s evil, it’s evil, even if I disagree.

I’m noticing that we’re kind of going in circles now. Perhaps we could move this to a thread about moral relativism. I think that would be an interesting discussion.

Nancy 🙂

There you are! Now your posts are back. Where’d they go for a little while yesterday?

I don’t believe that I have the only correct answers Sunwheel. I believe that God has the only correct answers. I’m simply repeating what He has told us. You’re shooting the messanger friend. 🙂

You sounds really angry with me personally rather than just with what I’ve said. I don’t argue on message boards and that seems to be the direction this is moving. Let’s agree to disagree on this with one another. May the Lord richly bless you today and every day.

Sunwheel-
She is right about any type of un natural BC being evil. Society has led us to believe it is morally acceptable. So, I dont blame you for your opinion at all. Read the Catechism…i think she is going by what God’s Church teaches us whether you agree or not! I only pray that more people will realize this!
