A young, unmarried girl in our office is pregnant & considering having an abortion. The father is trying to force her into it & she’s very frightened & confused. We’re trying to help her in every way we can & have been praying for her & her child.
Please say a prayer for them, too. Her first name is Jennifer.
Thank you & God bless!

I will be praying for Jennifer. Lord Jesus, please give Jennifer the courage to do what she knows in her heart is right–to have the baby and not give into the lies and murder of abortion.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdon come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil , Amen.

A good way to stop abortion is to offer Jennifer another solution. Ask Jennifer if there is anything that you can do to support her. The baby is her’s. Take her for a cup of coffee, let her talk. If Jennifer can get the emotional and financial support that she will need to have a child, most likely she will keep it. Does your company offer maternity leave? Remind her that this is her baby, her future. Try to solve her fears. Ask God to give you the words and the love to help her.

I have worked with pro-life groups for over 35 years. I counsel women who have had abortions and those looking to not abort. For most women, abortion is not their first choice.

Praying for Jennifer and her baby and that the father will see what a wrong choice he’s trying to force her into.

:signofcross: Praying for Jennifer and the safe, healthy delivery of her baby at full term! Also praying for the conversion of the pro-abortion father who would like to see his own child murdered. How sad! :crying:

Thanks so much for all your prayers!
Jennifer went to the doctor yesterday to talk about her “options.” She said she took a pre-natal vitamin this morning so I’m hoping that’s a good sign. But I know she’s still conflicted & the father’s physically threatening her now. We’re trying to encourage her to leave her apt. & stay with family-or any place safe.
Nope, no medical insurance here. It’s a very small business with no benefits except caring folks.

one of the most effective pro-life workers I know is a small business owner (now retired, but business still keeps her policy active) who offered jobs to women in this situation, so they would have benefits and an option to either keep the child, and she put them in contact with our pro-life nuns to explore alternatives including adoption. On occasion she boarded them in her own home for a period of time, esp. those kicked out by parents or bf, and arranged legal help for those facing physical threats, like story in OP.

Take her to see “Bella”. It would be wonderful if you could get
her child’s father to see it, too.
I’ll say a prayer for her and her baby.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

I just gave her the ticket $$ this morning & offered to go with her if she doesn’t have a friend her age she’d rather see it with. We’re thinking along the same lines!
The father is physically abusive & not someone I personally want to have contact with, but you’re right. He should watch the film, too.
Thanks so much for your prayers.

it would be a great kindness to get her some counselling in getting out of the abusive relationship, if you can find a way.

Will be keeping Jennifer in prayer with Our Lady of Perpetual Help and that she and her child will be safe from the father who appears to be totally intimidating and threatening…Barb

I will remember Jennifer, the baby, and the baby’s father at Mass and in my daily prayers.:signofcross:

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protest against the wickedness of the devil this helpless little one to whom You have given the gift of life.

Touch with pity the heart of Jennifer, for she is not thinking of motherhood.

Help her to see that the child she is carrying is made in Your image, as well as hers, made for eternal life.

Give her a true womanly heart to love her baby and give him birth, and all the needed care that a mother alone can give.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirt, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
