A friend and co-worker is going in for quadruple bypass surgery Thursday morning. Please help pray for him and his recovery. Not sure he is a prayerful man but he is asking for prayers so God is tugging on his heart. Thanks to all. GBY.

Prayer for Heart Patients to St. John of God

Dear Convert, after a sinful life, through the power of God’s holy Word you learned to love your fellow human beings. Self-sacrificing, you founded the Society of Hospital Brothers. No wonder the Church made you the patron of patients, nurses and specifically heart patients. That is why we confidently have recourse to you. Please give assistance to this man and teach us to be kind like you.

God, You filled St. John with the spirit of compassion. Grant that by practicing works of charity we may deserve to be numbered among the elect in Your Kingdom. Amen.

St. John of God, pray for us!

Almighty and Everlasting God, the eternal salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servants who are sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of your mercy so that being restored to health, they may render thanks to you in your Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Healing Heart Disease

Loving Father, I lift up to You Minnesotaboy’s co-worker,
who is in need of healing of his heart disease.

Let the grace of your divine love flow to the different parts of his body,
reaching the inner recesses of his being.
Touch his heart and all the areas afflicted with sickness
and let his body organs function normally.
Touch his blood vessels and arteries and let his blood flow properly.

Bring healing to all his nerves, muscles and tissues,
especially those surrounding his heart.
Console him, ease his pain and suffering and restore him
to full health in body, mind and spirit.

May he find hope in his suffering and offer it as a share in your own passion.
Create a new heart in him and renew his life, loving Father.
And after he has been healed, may he be a witness of your
healing power and love and bring glory, honor and praise to you.

All these we pray in Jesus’ name through Mary with all the angels and saints.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.
